A musical theatre production and concept album adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel ‘The Great Gatsby’ which audiences can witness in both formal theatre settings and more informal cafe-bar style settings, performed by a cast of 7 with live jazz band accompaniment. A brand new one-act musical where the events from the book unfold at a dinner party for Nick’s birthday.

Dinner With Gatsby explores this well-known story from a perspective focussing on women's issues and the struggles felt by those assigned female at birth (AFAB), along with the challenges faced by those identifying as LGBTQ+, created by Work In Progress Theatre and in line with their mission statements. 

We're crowdfunding to develop this show, pay our cast, band, and team a fair wage, and to stage our first performances in early 2023. We then hope to continue performing this show all across the UK, spreading it’s important messages.
